Cleaning and Polishing
Also called oral prophylaxis or scaling and polishing, this procedure is carried out to maintain basic gum health.
The procedure removes the accumulation of plaque and tartar (calculus), reduces gum inflammation and removes surface stains, with the help of ultrasonics.
A 6 monthly cleaning is recommended by all dental associations and has been shown to improve the quality of gum health.
